CONFIRMED FRAUDS:
- Iowa – as predicted, they lose and in grand fashion by losing to an unranked Northwestern.
- Oregon – after blowing out USC last week, they lost to an unranked Stanford this week. This loss not only makes me question Oregon, it also brings into further question USC, Boise State, and Ohio State.
- USC – I was wrong about USC. They were blown out by Oregon last week. They barely beat an unranked Arizona State this week.
- Ohio State – losses to a questionable USC and an unranked Purdue.
- Miami – lost last week to an unranked Clemson.
FRAUD ALERT:
- Boise State – once again barely squeaks by an unranked opponent this week against Louisiana Tech. Their win against Oregon isn’t looking so great now. I sure would love to see TCU play Boise every year as a home and away. Even better, I’d love to see Boise move to the Mountain West. It could happen.
- Cincinnati – barely beat an unranked Connecticut this week. They’re in the weak ACC. If they win out, maybe they belong in the discussion. I think they’ll lose.
LEGIT:
- Florida – 9-0, stud quarterback, great defense, easy remaining schedule until the SEC Championship Game
- Texas – 9-0, Colt McCoy at quarterback finally starting to play to his potential, great defense, easy remaining schedule
- Alabama – 9-0, great running back, but inexperienced quarterback, easy remaining schedule until the SEC Championship Game
- TCU – 9-0, they keep winning with one more real test next week at Utah
ALSO RANS:
- LSU – 7-2 with losses to Florida and Alabama, nothing to be embarrassed about. Good, but not good enough. Put them in the Big 10, Big East, or ACC and they’re an undefeated top 5 team. Definitely the best 2 loss team.
PREDICTIONS:
- Cincinnati loses a regular season game but still ends up in the BCS. They lose their BCS bowl game.
- The Big East champ loses their BCS bowl game.
- Boise State goes undefeated, but gets passed by TCU due to strength of schedule. No BCS bowl. They blow out their opponent in their bowl game.
- TCU wins out and gets an at-large BCS bid. They win their bowl game.
- Florida wins out and beats Alabama in the SEC Championship Game. Florida goes to the BCS National Championship Game.
- Texas wins out and goes to the BCS National Championship Game where they upset Florida. Texas ends the season at #1.
- Alabama gets an at-large BCS bid. They win their bowl game.
- No one cares about the Rose Bowl.
- Notre Dame loses to Pitt, ends up with 4 losses, loses their crummy bowl game (their 5th loss), and their coach gets fired. And no one cares.
